About Us
ARTiculate Futures
ARTiculate Futures is a free programme for young people aged 18-30 with additional needs, based in Barnet. We use creativity to enhance and celebrate positive mental health and emotional wellbeing of young people with autism, learning and mental health difficulties.
ARTiculate delivers bespoke arts-based projects focusing on the development of social, artistic, employability and entrepreneurial skills for young people. Our programme aims to enhance students’ confidence, communication and transferable skills and support their life transitions into higher education or employability.
Our projects are planned and delivered by experienced, skilled tutors and use painting, printing, mixed media, drama, creative writing, ceramics, dance, music, and more. Previous projects have included themes exploring cultural heritage and artistry such as T.shirt weaving and printing inspired by Ghanaian Kente cloth and collage prints based on the Gee's bend quilters in Alabama.
With special thanks to City Bridge Foundation for funding us. We are very grateful to John McCafferty and Lili Barcroft for making this dream a reality, thank you to our dedicated and talented tutors Lucy Tate, Gabi Cooper, Andrea Rai, Ben Wilson, Phil Powell, Sara Keeping and all of our amazing staff. We are so proud of the ARTiculate students hard work and resilience.
