Tara

 Salamalekum! My name is Tara. I am a Persian transmasc nonbinary person who loves animals, monsters, cartoons, and the weird sides of life.

I draw a variety of things and enjoy using all kinds of mediums, but my favourite mediums are traditional pencil and ink, and I can use digital programs to draw and create collages. Common themes in my art include creature and character design, writing about said characters, horror and fantasy, my Iranian background, my transmasculinity, and a lot of birds!

I take a lot of my inspiration from nature, poetry, and the media I watch. I can’t list all my favourites, but prominent ones that come to mind are Ghibli, Kaiju films, Zoroastrian mythology, art in video-games, and various animation from all over the world.

Art is a means of expression for me, and I use it as a way to express emotions I otherwise have difficulty conveying. ARTiculate is a place where I can explore different techniques in an understanding environment.
